Somewhat recent trips

Cory and I have both been on a few trips recently and I never posted the pictures.  Better late then never, I guess! 

Steph and I headed to Vegas in February to see GARTH!  It was an amazing show!!  We did a lot of walking, of course, and took in the other crazy sites of Vegas.  We had a wonderful girls weekend.

The flower pictures are from the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.  We were there around Chinese New Year.  They were gorgeous.

 

We stayed at Caesar's Palace.

 

 Cory was in Fairbanks and Anchorage, AK, in March.  We haven't had much for snow this winter so he was excited about that aspect (AK has had more than their average share this year)!  I can't say much more about the photos other than it looks beautiful!

 

 

 

 

Field Trip

Kaylynn's class went to the Denver Aquarium last month for their field trip. They had a great time. I think two highlights for K were feeding the sting ray and the watching the mermaid show!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter. We woke up to eggs hidden all over the house and a basket full of goodies at the door.
After church we headed to Jenny's for a nice Easter dinner with lots of family and friends. The kids had a great time playing and coloring eggs!

Spring Break!!

We had a great time on spring break last week up at Copper Mountain. We totally spoiled ourselves and stayed at a condo 100 feet from the lift. It was so nice to be that close! The weather was unseasonably warm, which was nice from my perspective, but not so great for the snow conditions and skiing. We still got two decent days in, though, and a trip to the tubing hill. Here are some pictures.

Hitting the slopes. K and I still bundled up (and got a bit warm!) but Cory skied one day in a light weight jacket!
Cory and K had so much fun on the tubing hill! They got some pretty good speed coming down! Luckily there was a magic carpet (moving walkway) that took them back up to the top.

Beauty and her Mommy!

Kaylynn and I went to Disney's Beauty and the Beast a few weeks ago at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. It is always fun to get all dressed up and head to the show. This was part of K's Christmas present so she has been looking forward to it for awhile. We both really enjoyed the performance!

Sewing and Ice Skating

Kaylynn loves to try new things. She took a sewing class recently and came home and made a blanket for her dolls. She was pretty excited about that.

Kaylynn and Cory went ice skating yesterday. It was cold (only 15 - that is cold for CO!), but she lasted for about an hour before her toes were too frozen. She seemed to enjoy it. Cory says he's ready to join a hockey team now!
