Easter Fun and Dan Zanes!

The church put on a great Easter Egg Hunt Saturday before Easter. I think we "hid" 500 eggs! The kids had a great time. The had crafts, decorated cookies with frosting and LOTS of sprinkles and raced with an egg on a spoon. Check out the concentration on Kaylynn's face!

Kaylynn had to get up at 5:20 am on Easter morning because Mommy and Daddy had to be to the church early to practice bells and sing. Luckily the Easter Bunny had made a stop at our house so she was actually excited to get up and look for eggs! The Easter Bunny did not disappoint - and brought the mandatory toothbrush with all the candy!

We then headed down to "Aunie" and Doug's house for Easter dinner. The Easter Bunny had been there too - WOW! It was a fun day with a nap worked in too - The perfect holiday!

Daddy also brought Kaylynn to the Dan Zanes concert a few weekends ago. The kids had a fun time dancing and making a conga line! You can see more pictures on Lucy's blog too!

Great Horned Owl

Check out this link for a live webcam of a great horned owl that set up her nest right outside one of the offices on the 3rd floor here at work. She's got 2 eggs that she's sitting on. It's really cool. If I was in that office I wouldn't get any work done I'd just be watching her all day.

First sleepover

Kaylynn had her friend Lucy sleepover last weekend. They had a great time! They played lots of games and kept each other entertained. They even slept all night long. It was great. Here are a few pictures.

We also bought a pop-up camper last weekend. It fits perfect in the garage. Almost too perfect. We can't ever take it out because it is all packed in with bikes and things all around it! We took a few pictures of it, but didn't pop it all the way up and out so you don't see the beds out on the sides. We are excited to get it out this spring and up in to the mountains!

The Perfect Day

We took Kaylynn up skiing to Eldora on Saturday. We were in no hurry to get there, we figured we wouldn't be there very long. Cory and Kaylynn started skiing at 12:15 and they shut the lifts down at 4:00!! Kaylynn never took a break - not even to go potty. She had a great time. She did great too. She would fall, but hop right back up. They started on a small hill where Kaylynn could ski by herself and then stood on a "magic carpet" that took her back the top. After she mastered that Cory took her over to a chair lift which she thought was a really fun ride! Cory then put on the harness and skied behind her. She would come down with a big grin on her face and Cory said she would say "Faster Daddy" the whole way down! She is a natural - Winter Olympics 2022 here we come! Here are some pics from the fabulous day - Enjoy!
