First Dentist Visit

Kaylynn went to Dr. Abrahams today and she did an excellent job! Kaylynn got to play with all the tools before they started anything. Then, Sandy was able to polish all her teeth, put flouride on, floss, and take two x-rays. It was neat to see all her permanent teeth on the x-rays, but I was informed that I will be paying for braces at some point (Dr A said I had to pay since Cory never had braces)!! She got lots of fun stuff to take home too. She was pretty proud of herself and told all her friends at daycare all about her first visit to the dentist! Mommy and Daddy are proud too!

Happy Memorial Day!

Kaylynn got her first taste of camping this weekend. She had to bring her flashlight to church on Sunday morning because she was so excited! We went up Sunday afternoon to Pawnee National Grasslands with some friends. It is supposed to be a great place to bird watch, but with Kaylynn and Lucy, we did not see too many of those!! The girls had fun looking at bugs, running every where and playing horse shoes. Monday morning we went over to the Pawnee Buttes. They were pretty neat to see way out on the plains. By the end of the hike the girls were exhausted and we headed home. It was a great time!

First Gardening Attempt

Here is a look at the garden that we put in on the east side of the house. We weren't sure if the retaining walls would get done this year after all of the snow and the wet spring. But, here they are. Thanks to mom for some help with the digging and Doug for putting in the sprinklers to water it. It was planted a week ago, mostly plants, but some seeds. The plants we put in are: tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers (4 different kinds), zucchini, squash, peas, carrots, and strawberries. The lettuce seeds have already sprouted and the beans are also beginning to put down roots.

In the foreground is the new grass that we planted a little over a month ago. It continues to fill in and green up too. We'll post a picture later in the summer to give a view of the garden once everything has (hopefully) grown like crazy.

The star of the blog

I guess since Cory finally got this blog set up I better start adding pictures of the main feature! Here are a few recent pictures of Kaylynn. She absolutely loves Lightning - she calls her "my best friend"! She tries to carry her everywhere now. Lightning is such a good sport.

I also finally got her to wear the sundress I made her, though she kicked and screamed when I put it on her. Daddy brought her a dress back from his recent trip to Monterey too.

Let's give this a try

After talking about it for months, we finally decided to create a blog. This blog will mostly be a way to get pictures of Kaylynn out for all to see, but there will be the occasional post about other things just to bore you all. Hope you enjoy it.

The name of the blog comes from a favorite saying of Kaylynn's. She likes to talk about what she did or things that happened yestertime (a combination of yesterday and last time). Makes us laugh every time.
