Opp Wedding

We experienced wedding bliss a few weekends ago just outside of Thompson, ND.  It was so great for us to be back in GFK for a weekend visit and to enjoy some wonderful family time.  Jeff and Brittany sure know how to put on a good party!  Here are some pictures from the blessed event (with lots of Kaylynn thrown in for a high cuteness factor!).

So sweet!

Fun details!
Too cute!
The happy couple!
Fun with rose petals!

Another cute prop!

The many faces of James!

The Wolffs!
Is this where James gets his facial expressions from?!
The Wolff family loves to dance!

There was even a fireworks display - we were all impressed!

Congratulations Opps!

Birthday Bowling

Kaylynn had a great time at her birthday party bowling with many of her friends.  The birthday girl bowled the only strike of the day.  It was fun to watch all the different bowling styles!

James had lots of help!  He got a chance to try it on his own after they showed him a few times.

 The party kids...
 with silly faces!
 Cake time!

Singing "Happy Birthday" with lots of "oh, la, la's and cha, cha, cha's"!

Happy Birthday, Kaylynn!  Here's to another great year.

Celebrating with the Presidents!

Kaylynn celebrated her 8th birthday today with the Presidents!  We ate a picnic dinner and had cake at the base of Mount Rushmore tonight!

Tigers

We had a tiger swallowtail butterfly on our tiger lily the other day.  It was beautiful and I snapped a whole lot of pictures, of course!

We all enjoyed watching the butterfly!

Copper in Summer

Last weekend we took a trip to Copper Mountain and had a wonderful time.  We did a lot of hiking, biking and relaxing.  There is a lot to do, even in the summer, at the ski resort!

We took a nice hike and had beautiful views of the Tenmile range.

We came across some nice wild flowers, too, including our state flower - the columbine

This hike went through an old mining site.  Kaylynn had a lot of questions about that.

Kaylynn's biggest adventure was zip lining at Copper.  She was pretty nervous at first, but after two trips, she was all smiles!

A few other random pictures from the weekend.

This is a view of Longs Peak on our way back in to town.

May travels

Jenny did all the work of posting the pictures from Cory and Kaylynn's trip to MT so I will just link to her blog!

While Cory and K were in MT, I was in Montreal for a work conference.   It was a very nice city and we ate great food!  I realized the only worthy pictures to post where of a few churches.

Here is a pretty church in downtown:

We also toured the Basilica of Notre Dame.  The pictures do not do it justice.  It was gorgeous inside.

All the pews had these carvings on the end:
This was the back chapel area:

Cory had a big trip to Taiwan and China in May as well, so I will see if I can get him to add a few of those here for the non-Facebookers to see!
