Sydney and Manly Day 2

After a great 12 hours of sleep we were ready to head back out to see the sites on day 2!  We took the train to Circular Quay and got our first peek at the Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House.  Wow, amazing!

We decided to eat a pancake house for breakfast before we headed out on our adventures.  K got a smiley face pancake.  She was one happy girl.  They serve all their pancakes with ice cream.  While I am sure K would like it, that is probably not something we will start doing at home!

After breakfast we boarded the ferry to head to Manly and got some beautiful views of the Harbor Bridge and Opera House as we went by.

And some great views of the city skyline as well.

It took about 27 minutes to get to Manly on the ferry.  We went by some nice cliffs along the route.

 We docked at the Manly Wharf, walked through town and landed at the beach!

K could not wait to get in the water - and didn't!

She did eventually get her swim suit on and absolutely loved the waves!

I loved the view from the shore!  K enjoyed the sand as well.  It was so fine and soft!

I went for a walk down the boardwalk on the right side of this photo to the next beach down. 

On my way, I saw several Water Dragons out sunning themselves!

At the next beach down the sand was much different.  Really more pieces of coral and shells.  Very pretty and kept me occupied looking for shells!  But definitely not as fun to walk on.

After lunch we decided to head up to the cliffs above Manly in the Sydney National Park.  We again hopped on a different mode of public transportation - the bus!  The views from the cliffs were gorgeous.

We only saw one other person on the walk along the cliffs and he was nice enough to take a photo for us.

You could look across the harbor and see Sydney off in the distance.  It was so beautiful!

Also along the path we saw quite a few of these guys.  I am sure they were deadly!

When it was time to leave we caught a beautiful sunset waiting for the ferry to head back to Sydney.

Shortly after leaving Manly the moon rose over the horizon near the cliffs.  So pretty!

And then we rounded the corner of the next cliff and saw Sydney back-lit by the amazing sunset!

We sure timed this trip back perfectly!

It was another fantastic day.  We are again beat and sleep very soundly!
