We had a great time in Omaha this weekend to watch the Sioux hockey team play UNO. We got there late Thursday night, spent the day at the zoo on Friday, went to the hockey game on Friday night and then went to the outdoor game on Saturday evening. It was so much fun to see the Sioux sweep, but also fun to see Cory's cousins and some friends from UND! Here is our weekend in pictures.
First the zoo!
We started at the cats.
Then made our way to the gorilla area.
This gorilla sat on top of a glass tube that we could sit in and look at him. Their hands are so human-like!
There was also an aquarium. I loved these sea nettles!
And a dessert area.
We ended with the butterflies.
It was a great zoo!
And for the main event - the outdoor hockey game! It looked weird to have the ice in the middle of a baseball stadium with grass all around it!
We had to work hard to stay warm.
Fun was had by all!
