Kitchen in progress
The big remodel begins! The cabinets arrived yesterday and the demolition happened today. Tomorrow they will begin putting in the base cabinets!
Here are some before pictures:
All the cabinets stacked up in the garage: (Kaylynn wants to save the big tall ones on the right to build a fort with - pretty sure we have no room for that now that we have kitchen "stuff" scattered all around the house!!)Sure looks empty now. Kaylynn likes to yell in the kitchen because it echos!

Field Trip
Today I went with 60 Kindergartners out to a farm east of town. They all had a great time! I only had to keep track of 3, but that was plenty! Most of the kids had never ridden on a yellow school bus before so this was one of the highlights! After they got off the bus we all got on two massive trailers that drove us around to pick potatoes and carrots out of the ground, corn, pumpkins and cabbage. It was very fun. I think the kids liked digging the carrots out the best. After a lunch of swatting bees (only one bee sting, amazingly!) we had an hour and a half to play on all the other "stuff" around the farm...corn maze, haystack castle, jumping pillow, playground, barrel train and, another big hit, a BIG pile of dirt. Have you ever taken a slide down a pile of dirt?!! Here are the pictures from our day at the farm.
The kids I had to keep track of: Kate, Kaylynn, and Zach
Miss Kreutner's classes (AM and PM).

Snow day!!
What a great birthday present to wake up to this morning - snow!! (Oh, and all the other gifts were really great too - thanks!) And, wishes do come true; I told K last night that it was going to snow and she really wanted to sled. Well, we got just enough to make that happen!! Her and Daddy spent a good chunk of the morning outside. It was pretty cold (20's) but that didn't seem to phase kiddo. Here are some pics of her waking up to the snow and enjoying her time outside.
After that, we went and got a haircut, which looks adorable!

Fall is upon us!
Fall soccer is underway and I had to post a few pictures of K out there!
Kaylynn and Lucy also met up yesterday and went to the pumpkin patch. These pics probably look familiar too - same farm as last year and same barrel train! I love how this is a highlight for the girls and the kid driving looks totally bored!
Finally, Kaylynn sang with the children's choir (Joyful Noise) last weekend at church. She looked so cute in her robe!
