December wrap-up

The month of December has flown by, as always.  Here is a single blog post on everything we did!

Kaylynn had fun painting ornaments at the UCAR Holiday Party.  I had fun decorating cookies to eat (no photo evidence)!
That same evening, I played handbells at the historic Ryssby church (below) and Kaylynn sang in the Parade of Lights.  It was a busy day!
We still managed to find time to put together K's new loft bed that weekend.
And to celebrate Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Vogt.

Not to mention attending K's KidZing concert that week.

K was also very busy with The Nutcracker.  She was a soldier and a sheep this year.

In the midst of four Nutcracker performances, K snuck in the church Christmas program, in which she was a narrator.

 She looked beautiful!

But is still a goofball at heart.

Somehow we survived it all and even stayed healthy for Christmas!  We left the goods out for our late night visitors.
(But it did not prompt Santa to leave K a phone...)
And now we know which reindeer like carrots and which do not!
K could not wait to open presents!

Santa gave her a reading chair and a couple books.

Christmas day walk.  One of these things does not look like the others...
Merry Christmas to all!  After we celebrate one more time in MT we will turn our sites to another, no doubt, exciting year.  Welcome 2014.

Visit with Great Grandma

We had a nice time in MN for Thanksgiving.  It is always great to see Grandma!  And K loved playing a new game - Sequence.  K and I made a great time beat Grandma and Great Grandma 3 out of 4 times!

It snowed!

It finally looks like winter around here!  I love it.  Here are a few pictures I have taken over the past few days.

We got the lights up at the house just in time!
Roosevelt Park always looks so pretty this time of year.
Here is our favorite "Christmas" house.  We visit every year and look around.  It is amazing what they do.
