I am very far behind on the blog, but I will skip several big trips (one in particular where I took over 1000 pictures!) and move on to Labor Day, which we spent in Grand Lake with Jenny and her family. We had great weather for most the weekend and were able to do a lot of outdoor activities.
On our way up we decided to go through RMNP. We were treated to sightings of large elk, bighorn sheep, and a coyote.
On our first full day we hiked to Adam's Falls. The kids did great and enjoyed playing in the stream once we got there.
The leaves are already starting to turn in the mountains!
Charlie carried a friend around for awhile.
We even managed to get a nice picture of all of us!
The next morning we headed out fishing. We watched several fish swim around the worms, but no bites.
We also headed into RMNP to Holzwarth Ranch to take in some history. We were hoping to see some moose, but no such luck. It was still pretty.
We rented paddle boats and even played some BINGO that night.
The final day, we headed home back through RMNP with the plan to hike, but the weather did not cooperate. It was cold and rainy, but it provided for some cool pictures.
